How a high-end hotel saves over £2,000 per month
High-end hotels want to provide their guests with the best possible experience. This means offering services outside their core business, such as restaurant recommendations and local guides.
Cost Savings
By using InBetween, the hotel can find more suitable, up-to-date options for guests, and save over £2,000 per month.
Guest Satisfaction
Not only does the hotel improve guests’ satisfaction, it also reduces their staff’s workload, allowing them to focus on other tasks.
The problem
As part of each guest’s experience, this hotel offers a range of services, including restaurant recommendations. Previously, a designated team member was using several third-party solutions such as Google Maps, OpenTable, and Michelin to find places that suited each guest. At peak times, the workload for this service was growing for an already stretched team, and complaints were increasing about unsuitable or inaccurate recommendations.
The goal
The hotel wanted to improve its recommendations for guests while reducing its staff’s workload. It needed a solution that could be implemented quickly, have scope to grow, and be flexible enough to be used by different teams and departments, and by guests for themselves.
The solution
The hotel has added the InBe widget to their website for both staff and guests, with different versions for each. Staff use a more complex version, providing total control over the places they suggest to guests, and catering for larger groups and more complex needs. InBe continues to work with the hotel on additional features such as their pre-arrival emails.
Next steps
The hotel would benefit even more from two additional features. First, a more intuitive way for guests to enter their preferences, needs, and dietary requirements. Second, a way for staff to email guests with their recommendations. We are working with the hotel to implement these features in the near future.
